We snuck down an alley off Perry Street to find The Bait House River Bar, a tiny little building right along the Portage River in Port Clinton.
There are a handful of tables, a couple of lawn games, some chairs for bellying up to the bar window, and sometimes there’s live music. Local guitarist Jerry Davenport was there … listen to his original song about the place:
There isn’t really any food but the owners seem okay with people bringing food in. A nearby table had a pizza from Papa Jimmie’s on Madison Street.
