A little sugar … a little borax … no more ants
I was out minding my own business, weeding a little area along our driveway when I felt something biting the back of my legs.
I kept weeding, thinking it was a little spider or something. But then I started getting a ton of bites so I looked down to find thousands of little fire ants crawling up my legs. Yeeoww! I brushed off as many as I could and ran into the house for my safe, natural but very effective solution: powdered sugar laced with Borax, at a 1:1 mix.
The borax is poisonous to ants but they can’t distinguish it from the powdered sugar. 30 minutes later: no ants. Take that!
